The textures are similar, which makes them all organic and native in one possible interpretation. There is no clear divide from the rising 'serpant' and the sandy ground, and whether it's rising up, sitting down, or just dancing in place is all a mystery. It stands in beauty and awe. The beauty is in its primitive, imperfect form. Here is an organism that is part of the 'earth', whether it landed there from a very different planet or a native. The background of a wonderfully free and nebulous universe conveys the sense that : no matter how distance this event takes place, humans should never forget the lessons that the animate and the inanimate are but made of the same materials, that there are few differences between what is alive and what is dead, what is an genius innovator and what is dead fish following the stream, what is and what could have been.
I hope that makes a little bit of sense. Thank you for your artwork!
